I am Martha Jane King, your candidate for Kentucky State Representative for the 16th District of Kentucky which includes Logan and Todd Counties.
I have the experience, knowledge and desire to be your voice in Frankfort. I am committed to providing the leadership necessary to solve the pressing issues which affect us all. Now more than ever we need leaders who can work with everyone to bring about positive progress to our counties. Two jobs I have held have really made the most impact in my life.
As a Teacher with Head Start, my commitment to education began. I experienced
first hand what an impact teachers and a good school curriculum have on students.
My job as a Transportation Agent highlighted the vast difference between the Board
Room and the School Room where I learned the skills of assertion, compromise and
mediation. I have been honored to have Logan Aluminum as a local client for the past
25 years. As I have worked with large corporations, small businesses and truck drivers
in and out of Kentucky, I am proud to say that my values of family, faith and responsibility
have remained my guideline.
